On Monday, September 18, 2006 at 1:40 am, Tpr. Long stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 235 at Rue Purchase Road in Lexington Park. A check through MVA indicated the driver, Melissa Jane Higgs, 29, of Ridge, driving privilege was suspended. Ms. Higgs was placed under arrest. Deputy Evans and K9 Yanic scanned the vehicle. K9 Yanic alerted on a purse in the vehicle. A search of the purse revealed a bag of marijuana, and a smoking device containing marijuana. Ms. Higgs was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center, charged with possession of marijuana, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and traffic violations. She was held pending a bond review.
On Monday, September 18, 2006 at 2:52 hours, Camille Nanette Commodore, 20, of Lusby, was arrested and charged with false report. Investigation revealed that on July 13, 2006 when Camille Commodore was arrested for DUI she gave a false name and information to TFC Rezza. She was taken to the detention center and held pending a bond review.
