BURGLARY: On 9-14, 5:21 PM, TPR Merkelson responded to a residential alarm on Hall Creek Ln., Owings. Investigation revealed that an unknown culprit had broken out a window, setting off the alarm. At this time, nothing has been reported stolen.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: On 9-16, between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM, an unknown culprit stole a 1996 Honda Civic, silver in color, MD reg. MGX750, from the Prince Frederick Shopping Center lot. TPR Ewig is handling the investigation.
THEFT: On 9-18, TPR Bigham responded to a construction site on MD Rt. 4, Dunkirk, for a theft complaint. Investigation revealed that an unknown culprit had stolen 40 bundles of shingles.
FALSE STATEMENT: On 9-19, 1:28 AM, Rt. 260, Dunkirk, TPR Stern stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During initial contact with the operator, he provided a false name and date of birth. A computer check revealed the owner/operator to be Royes Elvis Heigh, 49, of Prince Frederick. Mr. Heigh was also found to be driving on a suspended license. He was placed under arrest at that time and charged with giving a false statement to a police officer and driving on a suspended license. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 9-20, 1:01 AM, Rt. 260, Owings, TPR Stern stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, Frank Roy Boling, 48, of Chesapeake Beach, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, a baggie of suspected marijuana and a CDS smoking device were found on his person. Mr. Boling was then additionally charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
