Seatbelt Violation Nets Suspended Driver Wanted In Harford County

On 09-08-2006 SDFC Mike Peacher, of the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department, observed a red Mazda truck southbound on Maryland Route 249. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. SDFC Peacher conducted a traffic stop, and made contact with the operator, Paul Edward Klingbeil, age 48, of Drayden, Maryland. A computer check of his license revealed that Klingbeil's Maryland driver's license status is suspended and revoked. Klingbeil was also wanted on an open arrest warrant through Harford Count with no bond allowed.

SDFC Peacher placed Klingbeil under arrest, and transported him to the St Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged with driving while suspended, driving while revoked, operator not restrained by a seat belt, and his being held on "no bond" for a Harford County warrant.
