County Commissioners to Conduct a Public Hearing on Developer Rights and Responsibilities Agreement for Town Center South
LA PLATA, MD—The Charles County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, September 19, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the Charles County Government Building on a Developers Rights and Responsibilities Agreement for the proposed Town Center South project. The center is a new development consisting of 691 units, 491 apartment units, and 200 townhouses. The development will be located on the corner of St. Patricks Drive and Smallwood Drive, in the Waldorf area. The proposal would mitigate for the projects school and road impacts.
Copies of the Zoning Officer reports are available in the Department of Planning and Growth Management of the Charles County Government Building in La Plata, Maryland.
Citizens who wish to make oral or written comments on the proposals are encouraged to attend the public hearing. Those individuals or representatives of groups wishing to speak must sign in. Speaker sign up will begin ½ hour prior to the hearing and will end when the hearing begins. Each speaker will be allotted three minutes. The hearing will last no longer than two hours. The County Commissioners, however, reserve the right to extend the time frame allotted for the hearing. Written comments may be submitted in lieu of oral testimony, or to expand upon oral testimony.
