LA PLATA, MD * The Charles County Department of Public Facilities announced today that construction along Washington Avenue will affect motorists on or about Monday, August 28, 2006, and Wednesday, August 30, 2006.
Traffic will be limited to a single lane on August 28 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. while taping sleeve and valve construction will be underway. Washington Avenue will be closed to local traffic on August 30 between 7 p.m and 5 a.m. for waterline construction.
Signs have been erected to notify the public of the construction. Weather conditions may affect the schedule.
The Charles County Commissioners are urging motorists to drive carefully and heed the flag staff who will be directing traffic while construction is underway.
