HATE CRIME: On Aug. 19 at 4:10 p.m., Charles County Sheriffs officers responded to the 5800 block of Goode Road in Hughesville for the report of racial graffiti spray painted on a house under construction. Investigation revealed suspect(s) entered the residence sometime between Aug. 14 and Aug. 18 and painted two swastikas and other illegible words and symbols on the concrete floor. A spray paint can was recovered from the residence and submitted for forensic processing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriffs Office at 301-932-7777. Officer P. McPherson is investigating. This does not appear to be related to the recent graffiti incident in Bryans Road.
PROPERTY DESTRUCTION: Sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. July 29, suspect(s) punctured the front tires on a 1981 Chevrolet Silverado and cut its vinyl seats. PROPERTY DESTRUCTION: The Charles County Sheriffs Office is investigating two reports of property destruction in Nanjemoy that may be related. Sometime between 9 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. July 28, suspect(s) punctured the left rear tire on a 2003 Dodge Ram parked in the driveway of a residence in the 3000 block of Baptist Church Road. The suspect(s) also cut the strings attaching a volleyball net to its poles. Sometime between 9:30 p.m. July 28 and 5:20 a.m. July 29, suspects punctured the left rear tire on another 2003 Dodge Ram parked in the 2900 block of Baptist Church Road.
