Vandals Go on Rampage in Bryans Road Neighborhood


Sometime overnight between Aug. 18 and Aug. 19, suspect(s) spray painted racially offensive phrases on vehicles and residences in South Hampton in Bryans Road. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office responded to Monmouth Court for the first reports of property destruction. After canvassing the area, they discovered additional victims on Crecy Court, Long Bow Court and Chippewa Street. The suspect(s) also shattered windows on two vehicles. Eight vehicles, five residences and a mailbox were damaged. Detectives and members of the Forensic Science and Community Policing units responded to the scene to assist patrol officers.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-743-2222 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest or indictment in this case.
