Charles County Sheriff's Reports


BURGLARY: Sometime between Aug. 10 and Aug. 13 at 11:30 p.m., suspect(s) threw a rock through the basement sliding glass door of a residence in the 11600 block of Trent Court in Waldorf. Once inside, the suspect(s) kicked open a locked door leading to the main floor of the residence and stole jewelry, a laptop computer, an X-box and a Ruger 9mm semi-automatic handgun, then fled the scene. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Officer M. Thompson is investigating.

VANDALISM: On Aug. 12 at 3 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 11000 block of Timberbrook Drive in Waldorf for the report of vandalism. Investigation revealed suspect(s) had thrown eggs at two vehicles while they were parked in front of the residence during the daylight hours. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Officer G. Barnhart is investigating.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Aug. 12 at 2:15 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the parking lot of Legends located at 1290 Smallwood Drive West in Waldorf for the report of a fight. Upon officers’ arrival, the crowd began dispersing. Officer G. Barnhart ordered Jill Wood Baker, 37, of Waldorf, to quiet down and to step away from a suspect who was sitting on the ground. Baker refused and was arrested. She was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to obey a lawful order. Baker was released from the Charles County Detention Center on her personal recognizance. Officer G. Barnhart investigated.
