On Friday, July 28, 2006 at 2:12 pm, TFC Linger stopped a vehicle on Kavanagh Road at Laurel Grove Road, Mechanicsville, when the driver was observed not wearing a seatbelt. The driver was identified as Michael John Weigand, 30, of Drayden. During a consent search, a smoking device containing cocaine was located on the driver’s seat. Mr. Weigand was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was taken to the detention center and held pending a bond review. (0682008198)
On Sunday, July 30, 2006 at 10:09 am, TFC Linger stopped a vehicle for speed and having an inoperable brake light, on Route 234 at Route 242 in Clements. A check through MVA indicated the driver, Elton Lee Zeone Jr., 23, of Mechanicsville, had a suspended license. Mr. Zeone was placed under arrest and a search conducted. Located under the center console was a smoking device containing marijuana. Mr. Zeone was taken to the detention center, charged with possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
