$76K of Property Stolen from Budds Creek Raceway


According to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department, between the hours of 12:30 a.m. and 01:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2006, unknown culprits removed a 10-foot Frontier enclosed trailer, that was red in color with stainless steel trim, from the Maryland International Raceway (MIR). The trailer was recovered at the Potomac Race Track. The trailer was forcibly opened and the property inside was stolen. Both locations are located in the Budds Creek area of St. Mary's County.

The stolen property was identified as follows:

- 2005 GSXR Turbo race motorcycle-colors grey and black;
- 2001 Suzuki GSX1300R race motorcycle-color royal blue;
- 2003 Yamaha Rapture four wheeler-colors black and blue;
- and numerous Snap On tools.

The estimated value of the stolen property is $76,000.
