POSSESSION OF CRACK-COCAINE: On 7-18-2006, 10:39 AM, Rt. 4, Owings, TFC Koch stopped to check the welfare of a person walking along the roadway. As he approached, the subject was seen tossing bags into a ditch. A search was conducted and a CDS smoking device containing suspected crack-cocaine was recovered. Arrested at that time for possession of cocaine and CDS paraphernalia was Terri Lee Budd, 43, of Alexandria, VA. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

THEFT: On 7-18-2006, between 12 noon and 2:00 PM, an unknown culprit forcibly entered a vehicle parked at Solomons Urgent Care and removed a Canon video recorder, a Panasonic digital camera, and a Victoria’s Secret canvas purse. CIT is handling the investigation.

THEFT: On 7-19-2006, between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM, an unknown culprit forcibly entered a vehicle parked on Appeal Lane, Lusby, and removed a purse containing personal items. The Calvert Investigative Team (CIT) is handling the investigation.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE: On 7-19-2006, 12:07 PM, Rt. 4, Dunkirk, TFC Koch stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A computer check revealed that James Anthony Messinese, 31, of Edgewater, was driving on a suspended license. Incident to arrest, a search was conducted and three baggies of suspected cocaine and CDS paraphernalia were located in the vehicle. Mr. Messinese was then additionally charged with possession of cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

THEFT: On 7-20-2006, 6:21 PM, TPR Stein was dispatched to the Dunkirk Safeway for a shoplifting complaint. Investigation revealed that a store employee had confronted the suspects as they exited through the entrance door and recovered the cart full of stolen merchandise. The suspects were then observed fleeing the area on foot. A search was conducted and TPR Stein observed a subject, matching the description given, walking on Town Center Blvd. DFC Foote transported the store employee to TPR Stein’s location, and she positively identified the subject as one of the men involved. Arrested at that time for theft (>$500) was Curtis Cunningham, Jr., 40, of Landover. Incident to arrest, a CDS smoking device containing suspected cocaine residue was located on his person. He was then additionally charged with possession of cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Cunningham refused to identify his accomplice. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

THEFT: On 7-24-2006, 7:22 PM, TPR Chirichella responded to Fashion Bug for a shoplifting complaint. Investigation revealed that Fahren Lynn Wilson, 18, of Chesapeake Beach, was stopped by a store employee when she attempted to leave the premises without paying for merchandise. During the investigation, an employee of Payless Shoes arrived and stated that Ms. Wilson had stolen a pair of shoes approximately 10 minutes prior to TPR Chirichella’s arrival. Ms. Wilson was placed under arrest for theft (<$100). After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
