On Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 12:25 am, TFC Trossbach stopped a vehicle for failing to drive right of center on Lockes Crossing Road, Mechanicsville. Upon contact with the driver, Donald Lee McNeil, 37, of Faulkner MD, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. Mr. McNeil was subsequently arrested for DUI. A search incident to arrest revealed cocaine in his pants pocket. A bag of powder cocaine and a plastic straw containing cocaine was found in the center console. Mr. McNeil and the passenger, Hank William Buckler Jr., 36, of Mechanicsville, were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia. They were taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review. (0682007565)

On Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 11:00 pm, TFC Van Bennekum stopped a vehicle for failing to dim high beams on Route 245 at Route 235, Hollywood. Due to the actions of the driver and passenger, a search for officer safety was conducted. The passenger, Patrick James Matheny, 31, of California, was found to have a bag of cocaine in his pants. Mr. Matheny was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review. (0682007608)

On Friday, July 14, 2006 at 11:35 pm, TFC Trossbach stopped a vehicle for failing to have a working tag light on Route 5 south of Flora Corner Road, Mechanicsville. Due to the driver’s actions, upon contact, a pat down for officer safety was conducted. Located in the driver’s pants pocket was a bag of marijuana. The driver was identified as Tiffany Lauann Cave, 31, of Marshall VA. Ms. Cave was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia. (0682007659)

On Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 10:56 pm, Tpr. Evans stopped a vehicle on Route 235 at Airport View Drive, Hollywood, for failing to keep right of center. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI. During a search, incident to arrest, the passenger, Thomas Kurtis Howard, 25 of Washington DC, was found to be in possession of a switchblade. Mr. Howard was arrested and charged with possession of a switchblade. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review. (0682007707)
