DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 7-3, an employee of Jefferson Patterson Park, St. Leonard, reported that an unknown culprit had damaged a motorized gate and stolen a stop sign. TFC Murphy is handling the investigation.
POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY: On 7-3, 8:45 PM, Rt. 4, Owings, TFC Bowling stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A computer check revealed that the MVA validation sticker displayed on the vehicle had been reported stolen from a car dealership in Owings Mills, MD. Arrested at that time for theft (-$100) was Otonye Morris Joel, 35, of Landover, MD. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 7-7, between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM, an unknown culprit shattered a window to a vehicle parked in the Olympus Gym lot, Dunkirk. TPR Tillett is handling the investigation.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 7-9, 10:45 PM, Rt. 2/4, Prince Frederick, SGT Ewing stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, Michael Lee Greathouse, 45, of Lusby, was subsequently arrested for DUI. While being placed under arrest by TPR Korn, SGT Ewing observed a baggie fall to the ground. Upon examining the baggie, it was found to contain suspected marijuana. He was then additionally charged with possession of marijuana. After processing, Mr. Greathouse was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
SHOPLIFTING: On 7-11, 3:05 PM, TPR Merkelson responded to the Prince Frederick Wal-Mart for a theft complaint. Investigation revealed that Mini Mercedes Black, 20, of Washington, DC, had been observed by a store employee leaving the premises without paying for merchandise. She was placed under arrest for theft (-$500) and then transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
