Maryland's Senator Mikulski Appears on Larry King Tonight at 9PM

The Dean of the Senate Women, Senator Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.), and the Democratic women Senators will appear on Larry King Live TONIGHT to discuss their plan for changing the direction of the U.S. Senate in order to address the real needs and priorities of the American people. The show will air on CNN at 9 p.m. EST.

This will be the second time the Democratic women have appeared together on Larry King Live. In 2000, they made Larry King history as the largest group of people King had ever interviewed at once when they all appeared to discuss "Nine and Counting: The Women of the Senate," the book they co-authored together.

Senator Mikulski is one of two federal senators for the state of Maryland. She is classified as a Class III Senator. Senators are elected to six-year terms, and every two years the members of one class—approximately one-third of the Senators—face election or reelection. Terms for Senators in Class I expire in 2007, Class II in 2009, and Class III in 2011.
