On June 20 at 10:17 a.m., Charles County Sheriffs officers responded to Ginas Alterations located at 4605 Indian Head Highway for a report of an attempted robbery. The investigation revealed that the suspect entered the business, walked behind the counter and attempted to open the cash register. When the owner, a 70-year-old Indian Head woman, yelled at the suspect, he turned and grabbed her by her arms and began to violently shake her and threatened her with bodily harm if she did not open the register. The owners yelling caught the attention of a passerby who looked in the window, causing the suspect to flee the scene.
He was last seen running toward Woodland Drive. The area was checked but officers were unable to locate the suspect. He is described as a light-complexioned black male and is between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet tall. The suspect was wearing a dark T-shirt and blue jeans.
