Charles County Commissioner Fuller Inducted Into Firemen's Hall of Fame

Charles County Commissioner Vice-President Robert J. Fuller was inducted into the Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association's (SMVFA) Firemen's Hall of Fame on Saturday, May 6, 2006. Commissioner Fuller, a retired captain with the Prince George's Fire Department, has been a longtime advocate for the fire and rescue departments throughout the County and serves as the Commissioners' representative on the County's Board of Fire and Rescue.

Since its inception in March 1986, the SMVFA Hall of Fame has honored more than 150 volunteers who have provided strong leadership and service to their companies. In 2005, the Hall of Fame began recognizing individuals outside of the volunteer fire, rescue, and EMS services who have made distinguished contributions to the Association.

Commissioner Fuller's name will be engraved on a plaque, which will be displayed at the Southern Maryland Regional Training Center in La Plata.
