POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY: On 6-7, 11:22 AM, Rt. 2, Sunderland, TPR Merkelson stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A computer check revealed that the tags displayed on the vehicle had been reported stolen in Lexington Park. Placed under arrest at that time for theft (-$500) were Christopher Aaron Carter, 22, of Huntingtown, and Clifton Durell Hawkins, 26, of Huntingtown. After processing, the two were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center (CCDC) to await a commissioners hearing.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 6-9, 3:07 AM, Rt. 2/4, Huntingtown, TFC Schmidt stopped to check the welfare of a motorist. The operator, Rose Mary OHaran, 47, of Huntingtown, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, a baggie of suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle. Ms. OHaran was then charged with possession of marijuana. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioners hearing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: During the overnight hours of 6-8, an unknown culprit attempted to enter the garage of a residence on Forest Rd., St. Leonard. TFC Johns is handling the investigation.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 6-9, 9:45 AM, TPR Ewig responded to the District Court Building, Duke St., Prince Frederick, for a CDS complaint. Investigation revealed that Clayton Lloyd Dunagan, 50, of Barstow, had emptied his pockets before entering the metal detector, and Bailiff Alvestad discovered a canister of suspected marijuana. Mr. Dunagan was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioners hearing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 6-10, between 12:00 AM and 8:00 AM, an unknown culprit damaged 4 mailboxes along Lowery Rd., Huntingtown. TPR Tillett is handling the investigation.
