Health Club Manager Arrested for Anabolic Steroids

On May 30, 2006, St. Mary's Detectives obtained a search and seizure warrant for the home of Matt York, age 35 of Great Mills. Numerous items were seized including various anabolic steroids, growth hormones (both human and animal) and syringes filled with a steroid substance. Mr. York was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Anabolic Steroids). Additional charges are pending a toxicology review, a review by the State’s Attorney and presentation to the Grand Jury of St. Mary’s County. Mr. York was detained in the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a District Court Commissioners bond hearing.
