ANIMAL CRUELTY: On 5-15, TPR Chirichella responded to a residence on Broomes Island Rd., Port Republic, for an animal cruelty complaint. Investigation led to the arrest of Jason Daniel Dwyer, 18, of Port Republic, for shooting and killing the victim’s cat. Mr. Dwyer was charged with destruction of property (-$500) and animal cruelty. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 5-17, 11:53 AM, Rt. 2/4, Solomons, Jason Dean Lewis, 26, of Arnold, was arrested for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia, during a traffic stop. After K-9 Remington alerted on the vehicle, suspected marijuana and a CDS smoking device were recovered. Mr. Lewis was transported to the CCDC by TFC Koch after processing, to await a commissioner’s hearing.
THEFT: On 5-17, 12:34 PM, TPR Stein responded to the Lusby Food Lion for a theft complaint. Investigation revealed that Jamal Dante Parker, 18, of Lusby, had been observed removing merchandise from a customer’s bicycle parked in front of the store. He was charged with theft (-$100) and then transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
THEFT: During the overnight hours of 5-19, an unknown culprit removed a 2003 Suzuki Z400 4-wheeler, white in color, from in front of a residence on Clay Hammond Rd., Prince Frederick. TFC Koch is handling the investigation.
