Waldorf Man Vandalizes Home of Family Member


While the suspect was in the police cruiser under arrest, he kicked out the rear passenger side window

On May 24 at 8:43 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 2500 block of Charter Oak Drive in Waldorf for a report of destruction of property in progress. Investigation revealed Bryant Michael Thompson, 25, of Waldorf had thrown a brick through the front window of a family member's residence and punched several large holes in the walls.

He was subsequently arrested and placed in a police cruiser. While Thompson was in the cruiser, he kicked out the rear passenger side window. No one was injured. Thompson was charged with destruction of property more than $500 and is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner. Officer J.
