HUGHESVILLE, MD - The Tri-County Animal Shelter will be celebrating Adopt-A-Cat Month in June with a reduction in cat adoption fees to $45. In addition, anyone who adopts a cat from the Animal Shelter during June will be eligible to enter a drawing for a free basket of cat supplies and gifts. Entries are limited to one per person.
Unlike kittens offered for "free," cats and kittens adopted from the Tri-County Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, tested for feline leukemia, and given a physical by a veterinarian to assure they are healthy before they go home with their new owners.
"The reduction in fees and drawing are our way of saying thank you for adopting from the Tri-County Animal Shelter and becoming a part of the solution to pet overpopulation," said the Charles County Commissioners.
