On May 15th, 2006 at 9:55 p.m. a citizen observed a subject in the parking lot attempting to gain entry into what appeared to be a cash register to the rear of a California business. Patrol Officers and Detectives located the subject a short time later during a traffic stop on Pegg's Road. Detectives from the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) further investigated the incident.
Detectives identified the suspect as 31 year old Timothy Dennis Seip (No Fixed Address). Additional investigation revealed that approximately an hour earlier Seip had entered 2000 Liquors in Lexington Park, MD with his face masked and demanded money from the clerks. The suspect damaged property inside the store and then fled the scene with a cash register and an undisclosed amount of money. Items of evidence were found at the scene linking the suspect to the robbery and the suspect was also in possession of suspected crack cocaine.
Suspect Timothy Seip was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with Robbery, Theft Over $500, Destruction of Property Over $500, and Possession of Crack Cocaine. He is incarcerated and currently awaiting his appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
