MSP Reports for St. Mary's


On Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 12:10 am, TFC T. Quade and DFC Smolarsky, St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office, responded to the 18000 block of Point Lookout Road, Lexington Park, for a reported violation of a protective order. Investigation revealed that there was a current protective order against Walter Jerome Ford Sr., 41, of Park Hall. He was to have no contact with the victim. The victim advised that Mr. Ford had entered her residence and asked for money. Fearing for her safety, she ran next door and called 911. Mr. Ford was found standing in front of the victim's residence on arrival of the police. Mr. Ford was arrested and charged with Failure to Obey a Court Order. He was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bail review. (0682004640)

On Monday, May 1, 2006 at 1:29 am, TFC R. Rezza responded to Longford Way, Great Mills, for a reported disturbance call. Investigation revealed that when the female/victim arrived home, an argument ensure with the male/suspect at the front door of their residence. The male then pushed the victim and she fell backwards down three concrete steps. The victim displayed a visible abrasion to her elbow and she complained of pain in her leg and hip. The victim elected to be driven, by a friend, to the emergency room for evaluation. The investigation is continuing with charges pending. (0682004707)

On Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 11:15 am, William E. Johnson, 42, of Washington DC, was arrested by Tpr. G. White on a Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court to answer to a possession of CDS charge. Mr. Johnson was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held on no bond. (6Q00032507)

On Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 10:10 am, Asha Zalika Stewart, 23, of Lexington Park, was arrested by Tpr. K. Shughart on a Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court to answer to a driving uninsured vehicle charge. Ms. Stewart was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held on no bond. On Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 11:49 pm, TFC S. Van Bennekum and Sgt. S. Breck responded to Wildewood Swim Club for four suspicious vehicles trespassing on the property. Contact was made with the occupants of the vehicles. Marijuana and CDS Paraphernalia was located in one vehicle and a rifle in another. Upon contact with a 16 year old passenger, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on her breath. A juvenile civil citation was issued for Underage Possession of Alcohol. The juvenile was also charged with Trespassing and released to a parent. The investigation is continuing with charges pending on four adults. (0682004781, 0682004778)

On Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 4:45 pm, Jack H. Culp, 47, of Mechanicsville, was arrested by TFC A. Rossignol on a Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court to answer to a charge of CDS possession/purchasing a noncontrolled substance. Mr. Culp was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held on no bond. (0Q00031794)

On Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 11:00 pm, Glenn Elbert Bailey Jr., 42, of Leonardtown, was arrested by TFC A. Rossignol on a Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court to answer to a charge of possession of CDS and driving while suspended. Mr. Bailey was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held until posting a $3,500 bail. (4Q00032960)

On Thursday, May 4, 2006, Keith Alan Garner 2nd, 25, of Temple Hills, MD, was extradited from Reidsville, NC, back to St. Mary's County where he was arrested on a Circuit Court True Bill Indictment for CDS and handgun violations. He was held at the Detention Center on no bond. (18K05000518)
