Man Stabbed in Chesapeake Beach

On April 29 at 3:38 a.m., TFC. Scott Bennett of the Criminal Investigations Division (C.I.T.) responded to a residence on 26th Street in Chesapeake Beach in reference to an assault. Upon arrival he met with Sgt. Ronald Naughton, also of C.I.T., who advised him that the victim, Ellis Ward, Jr., 29, of Prince Frederick, had been stabbed in the back by a black female who had fled the scene.

The victim was taken by MEDEVAC to Prince Georges County Hospital in Cheverly. Ward was later contacted by police at the hospital and he informed them that he and the suspect, Inga Lee Savoy, 37, of Chesapeake Beach, argued and she came at him from behind with a 12" knife she had gotten from the kitchen. Charges in this case are pending.
