ARMED ROBBERY: On May 1 at 10:28 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to the 2000 block of Amberleaf Place in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed a 35-year-old Waldorf man was delivering a pizza to a residence when the suspect approached him, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled the area with money, food and keys. An officer from the K9 unit conducted a search of the area but was unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a yellow shirt and black ski mask. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer R. Snyder is investigating.

BURGLARY: On May 1 at 10 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to a residence in the 11800 block of Holabird Lane in Waldorf for the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, Officer D. Sauve saw the suspect climbing out of a window in the rear of the residence and apprehended him. Investigation revealed the suspect, who was identified as Andre Robert Israel, 19, of Waldorf had disconnected a Playstation II and a Nintendo Gamecube from the television. While officers were investigating this burglary they were made aware of another burglary which occurred on April 28 on Hanover Court in Waldorf. Two Playstations and games were stolen from this residence. A receipt was found Israel's pocket for two game consoles and 15 games which were sold to a business nearby on April 28. Israel was charged with first- and fourth-degree burglary and is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner. Officer J. PEDESTRIAN HIT AND RUN: On April 28 at 11:59 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to the area of St. Charles Parkway and Dartmouth Road in Waldorf for the motor vehicle crash involving pedestrian. Investigation revealed a 42-year-old Waldorf man was walking along the southbound shoulder of the road when he was struck by a silver vehicle, which then fled the scene without stopping. The victim sustained a head injury and was flown to Suburban Hospital by Maryland State Police Trooper 2. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer W. Halt is investigating.
