Fugitive Wanted in Anne Arundel County Arrested For CDS Possession in Lexington Park


On 04-20-06 DFC Michael D. Peacher was in the parking lot of Shangri-La Village Town Homes when he observed suspect Joseph Nathaniel Greenwell Jr. enter the complex. The suspect is not a resident of the complex. As he entered the complex, he passed by no trespassing sign. DFC Peacher made contact with the suspect who was identified as 18 year old Joseph Nathaniel Greenwell Jr., of Leonardtown. DFC Peacher conduct a warrant check on the suspect and discovered that the suspect had a active Bench warrant through Anne Arundel County.

DFC Peacher place the suspect under arrest and conducted a search incident to arrest. DFC Peacher located a plastic baggy of marijuana and a plastic baggy containing five individually wrapped cocaine rocks. The suspect was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and was charged with "possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance not Marijuana" and "Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance Marijuana." The active warrant was also served on the suspect. The suspect was awaiting the District Court Commissioner, for the CDS charges, and is being held on a $5,000.00 bond, on the Bench.
