Cops And Lobsters to Raise Money for Special Olympics Maryland

The Charles County Sheriff's Office will respond to a different type of call for service this April—the call to support Special Olympics Maryland, a sports program for children and adults with disabilities.

The Sheriff's Office will hold its annual Cops and Lobsters fund-raiser April 28 and 29 at Red Lobster, located at 11035 Mall Circle in Waldorf. Sheriff's Office personnel will serve lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on both days. They will donate all tips they receive to Special Olympics Maryland.

"This event is a lot of fun and it benefits a very worthwhile cause," said Sheriff Frederick E. Davis. "We've been doing this for a long time and we are grateful to the folks at Red Lobster for helping us raise money for the athletes of Special Olympics. I encourage everyone to come out, have a great meal, enjoy the service and support a very inspirational organization of athletes."
