Detectives pursuing the whereabouts of Suspect Dustin Pernell received information that the suspect was at the Baltimore Washington Airport and was going to leave the State. Suspect Pernell's photo and physical description was forwarded to the Port Authority Police, Transportation Safety Administration and United States Department of Homeland Security. An officer that received the photo recognized the suspect as being on a plane to Salt Lake City, Utah. Officers in Salt Lake City were notified and as the plane landed Suspect Pernell was taken into custody. St. Mary's County State's Attorney's Office authorized the Suspect to be extradited back to the State of Maryland. There is currently no information related to the extradition hearing has been made available.
