Cocaine Arrest in Lexington Park


On 04/01/2006, Deputy S. Moses attempted to initiate a vehicle stop in the area of Patuxent Homes, Lexington Park on a black Ford Tempo. After the vehicle stopped, the driver, Thomas R. Morgan, age 41, fled on foot. A foot chase ensued during which time Morgan discarded several plastic baggies containing suspected Cocaine. Mr. Morgan was subsequently apprehended near the apartments. The suspected Cocaine was recovered and determined to be 6.1 grams of suspected powder Cocaine and 8.3 grams of suspected Crack Cocaine with a street value of approximately $1,400. Mr. Morgan was transported to the Detention Center where he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and is awaiting an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
