Attempted Abduction of 15-Y/O in Waldorf

On March 27 at 3:53 p.m., a 15 year-old Waldorf boy exited his school bus in the 2300 block of Ashford Lane in Waldorf and began walking home when two male suspects in a Buick passenger car pulled up beside him and ordered him to get into the car. The boy and his sister, who was several feet behind him, ran home. Officers responded to the victim’s residence for an investigation. The officers later learned the same suspects approached a 14-year-old Waldorf boy and asked where he was going and if he would get into the car. The victim quickly went home and the suspects fled in an unknown direction.

The suspects are described as black males between 19 and 24 years old. They driver was wearing glasses, a gray shirt and a “do-rag” and the passenger was wearing a black shirt and has corn-rowed hair. They were seen in a 1991 to 1995 dark green or blue Buick sedan with tinted windows and a tan interior.

The Sheriff’s Office has released a sketch of the driver and pictures of a similar vehicle. The sketch and pictures can be viewed on the Sheriff’s Office’s Web site, www.ccso.us. Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Det. K. Selkirk is investigating.

The Sheriff’s Office has increased patrols of this area and is asking anyone who sees anything suspicious to notify the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
