Checkpoint Strikeforce Nets Six Arrests on St. Patrick's Day in Charles County


The Maryland State Police netted the arrests of six suspected impaired motorists and one person was arrested on an open warrant. The arrests stemmed from operation "Checkpoint Strikeforce" which was conducted on at U.S. Rt. 301 south of Smallwood Drive in Waldorf, Charles County, Maryland.

The operation was conducted during the St. Patrick's Day celebrations between 10:51 p.m. Friday night through 0800 a.m. Saturday morning. 588 vehicles were checked during the operation. The Checkpoint was manned by 17 State Troopers. Lt. R. Stephens would like to remind the citizens of Charles County to call #77 on your cell phone to report possible drunk drivers.
