POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 3-8, 3:00 PM, while on routine patrol, TFC Huber observed a vehicle parked under the Thomas Johnson Bridge. Upon contact with the operator, TFC Huber detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and suspected marijuana and 2 CDS smoking devices were recovered. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was Justin Ryan Knott, 21, of Leonardtown. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 3-9, 5:50 AM, Rt. 2/4, Prince Frederick, TFC Bowling stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, David Wayne Smith, 39, of North Beach, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, suspected marijuana was located on his person. Mr. Smith was then additionally charged with possession of marijuana. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 3-10, 9:18 PM, Rt. 260, Chesapeake Beach, TPR Chirichella stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the occupants, TPR Chirichella detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and suspected marijuana and a CDS smoking device were recovered. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia were two 17-year-old females, a 15-year-old female, and a 17-year-old male. After processing, they were released to a parent.

THEFT: During the overnight hours of 3-10, an unknown culprit entered a vehicle on Osprey Ln., Lusby, and removed a speakerbox containing 2 speakers. TPR Bigham is handling the investigation.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: During the overnight hours of 3-10, an unknown culprit keyed a vehicle parked on Ridgeway Ter., Prince Frederick. TPR Bigham is handling the investigation.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 3-11, 9:09 PM, TFC Whipp responded to an area between 16th & 17th St., Chesapeake Beach, for a trespassing complaint. Upon contact with a suspect, a search was conducted and a CDS smoking device was found on his person. Additional CDS (suspected marijuana) was also recovered from a vehicle in which he was a passenger. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was Ryan Christopher Carpenter, 21, of Prince Frederick. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

BURGLARY/TRESPASSING: On 3-14, 6:07 PM, TFC White and TPR Chirichella responded to Cox Rd., Huntingtown, for a burglary complaint. Investigation revealed that Justin Samuel Teague, 19, of Chesapeake Beach, had been observed by the homeowner attempting to enter his shed. Mr. Teague was placed under arrest and charged with 4th degree burglary and trespassing. After processing, he was incarcerated in the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
