Pedestrian Assaulted with Knife on Smallwood Drive West


On March 10 at approximately 3:30 a.m., a 35-year-old Waldorf man was walking down Smallwood Drive West near St. Nicholas Drive in Waldorf when a vehicle stopped beside him. A passenger exited the vehicle and began fighting with the victim. The driver brandished a knife and cut the victim several times on his hands. The suspects returned to their vehicle and fled. The victim went to Civista Medical Center for treatment. Hospital staff contacted the Sheriff's Office to report the incident.

The suspects are described as black males in their late teens or early 20s. One was light complexioned and wore his hair in cornrows. The other was dark complexioned. The vehicle is described as a dark colored Buick or Oldsmobile. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer D. Sylvestre is investigating.
