Burglary & Attempted Burglary in Calvert County


Burglary

Det./Tfc. Scott Bennett of the CIT Division responded to Papa Johns Pizza located at 8420 Bayside Road in Chesapeake Beach on February 27 at 9:40 a.m. for a burglary. The co-owner of the establishment indicated that between February 26 and that morning at 9:00 a.m. someone had entered the business and stolen $2,890.00 from within. There was no damage reported and it does not appear that anything else was taken. Please contact Det. Bennett if you have information regarding this case at 410-535-2800.


Attempted Burglary

An alert homeowner on Ropeknot Road in Lusby called the Calvert Control center to report that two white males were trying to enter his neighbors’ home on February 27 at 7:50 p.m. The witness stated that he went outside to walk his dog when he observed two white males attempting to enter the house next door to his. The dog began to bark and the two suspects fled in different directions. Dep. J.M. Bonville responded but did not locate the suspects. He will be continuing the investigation.
