Arrest Made for January Burglary in Leonardtown


On 01/16/06 Patrol Officers responded to a residence in Leonardtown for a reported burglary. Entry had been forced into the residence and numerous items were stolen. BCI Detectives continued the investigation and a suspect was developed. Lisa Ann Mattingly, 27 year old of Mechanicsville, was identified as the suspect and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

On 02/28/06 Suspect Mattingly was arrested and incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was charged with First Degree Burglary and Theft over $500. She is awaiting a court date and is being held on $50,000.00 bond.

The St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. The unit was established on July 1, 2003 and is based in Leonardtown, Maryland.
