POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 2-15, 5:44 PM, Rt. 2/4, Lusby, TFC Bowling stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the operator, David Phillip Lynch, 33, of Great Mills, TFC Bowling detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle. Mr. Lynch was placed under arrest at that time for possession of marijuana. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner's hearing.
POSSESSION OF COCAINE: On 2-19, 1:47 AM, 17th St., Chesapeake Beach, TPR Stein stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. As the operator, Shawn Michael Thomas, 23, of Chesapeake Beach, exited the vehicle, TPR Stein observed two small baggies of suspected cocaine. After placing Mr. Thomas under arrest, a search was conducted on the passenger, Nigel Francis Huston, 37, of Chesapeake Beach, and the vehicle. Mr. Huston was found to have suspected cocaine, Oxycodone, and a CDS smoking device on his person. An additional CDS smoking device was recovered from the vehicle. Both men were charged with possession of cocaine, Oxycodone, and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, they were incarcerated in the CCDC to await a commissioner's hearing.
THEFT: On 2-20, between 9:00 AM and 12:50 PM, an unknown culprit entered a vehicle on Sixes Rd., Prince Frederick, and removed a Phoenix amp and a Rockford Fosgate speakerbox. TFC Schmidt is handling the investigation.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: On 2-21, between 6:00 PM and 6:45 PM, an unknown culprit stole a 1999 Dodge Durango from the driveway of a residence on Coster Rd., Lusby. On 2-22, the vehicle was recovered from an area approximately 400 yards off of Coster Rd. @ Michael Dr. The vehicle was stuck in the mud and had two flat tires. TFC Huber is handling the investigation.
