17 Y/o Driver Hits & Kills Pedestrian on Great Mills Road


On February 1, 2006 at 1858 hours, Thomas Stevenson Morgan (44) of Lexington Park, Maryland was crossing Maryland Route 246 (Great Mills Road) at Tower Lane on foot. Mr. Morgan failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was subsequently struck by a vehicle traveling West on Route 246. He did not survive the accident. The vehicle was operated by a 17 year old juvenile from Great Mills. At this time speed is not a factor in the collision. Alcohol consumption on the part of Mr. Morgan is a contributing factor.
