DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 1-13, TFC Schmidt responded to a vacant lot off of So. MD Blvd., Dunkirk, for a destruction of property complaint. Investigation revealed that an unknown culprit had caused $400 in damage to a backhoe.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: On 1-12, the owner of Doug Dorsey Used Cars reported a motor vehicle theft. The vehicle had been parked behind Ralph's Dodge, Prince Frederick. On 1-13, 2:15 AM, Rt. 2/4, Lusby, TFC Whipp stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A computer check revealed the vehicle as the one stolen on 1-12, and the tags displayed on the vehicle had been reported stolen from Sparks, MD. Arrested at that time for motor vehicle theft, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft (+$500), and theft (-$100) was Paul Anthony Pitner, 21, of St. Leonard. After processing, Mr. Pitner was incarcerated in the CCDC to await a commissioner's hearing.
BURGLARY: On 1-20, a resident of Emmanuel Church Rd., Huntingtown, reported that an unknown culprit had entered a barn and horse trailer and removed 4 saddles and 2 Honda generators. Property loss is estimated at $7,300.00. TPR Ewig is handling the investigation.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 1-21, a resident of Turnabout Rd., Huntingtown, reported that an unknown culprit had BB'd windows to his house. TPR Dawson is handling the investigation.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 1-22, 12:27 AM, TFC White was dispatched to Simpson Farm Rd., Owings, for disorderly subjects. Upon his arrival, he observed a street sign lying in the intersection of Mt. Harmony Rd. and Simpson Farm Rd. Investigation revealed that a 15-year-old male, of Chesapeake Beach, was responsible, and he was placed under arrest at that time for destruction of property (-$500). After processing, he was released to a parent.
