Thefts
On January 17, a victim reported that her vehicle, which had been parked behind the library on Duke Street in Prince Frederick, had the passenger side window broken out.
The victim stated to Dep. Wendland that it occurred sometime between 1:45 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and that her purse and other personal items were missing. Dep. Wendland will continue the investigation.
On January 18 at 10:26 p.m., Dep. S. Brown responded to Bean Road in Lusby for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that sometime between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on the previous evening, his car DVD player and navigation system were stolen from his vehicle, which was parked, unlocked, in front of his residence. Dep. Brown will continue the investigation.
Damaged Property
Dfc. Jason Elliott responded to 7th Street in North Beach on January 18 to take the report of a destruction of property. The victim reported that sometime overnight his passenger window on his vehicle has been broken out but nothing appeared to have been taken. The damage to the vehicle is estimated at $150.00. Dfc. Elliott will investigate the case.
Dfc. R. Wilson spoke with a victim on January 18 at the Park and Ride on Fairground Road in Prince Frederick. The victim stated that she parked her vehicle there at 5:45 that morning and when she returned at 5:40 p.m. the drivers door window was broken out. Nothing was taken from the vehicle. The amount of damage is valued at approximately $200.00.
On January 19, a victim on Rousby Hall Road in Lusby reported to Dep. R. Cox that sometime overnight someone shot a pellet gun at the front window of her residence.
The pellet did not penetrate the window. Dep. Cox will continue the investigation.
Assault
Two juveniles were arrested for assaulting each other on January 19th at 1:00 in the afternoon on Monarch Lane in Huntingtown. Dep. B. Tilley responded to the call and spoke with each of the juveniles. After determining that both juveniles had assaulted each other, they were both charged on a Youth Report with Assault and released to the custody of their parents.
Theft
Dep. M. Jones responded to a home on Ridge Court in Lusby on January 19 for the report of a stolen cell phone. The victim reported that she believed her daughters friend, who had just been at the house, had stolen her cell phone. Dep. Jones responded to the suspects home and discovered that the youth had the cell phone and admitted to taking it without permission. The juvenile was charged on a Youth Report with Theft and released to the custody of a parent.
