On Jan. 20 at approximately 10:50 p.m., a 16-year-old Waldorf boy was on the footbridge behind a business in the 100 block of St. Patrick's Drive in Waldorf when another boy whom he knows approached him, brandished a handgun and demanded his jacket. They began to struggle and the suspect struck the victim in the head with the gun. The suspect fled the scene without stealing anything from the victim. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was flown to Prince George's Hospital Center. During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Tyrone Lorenzo Parker, 17, of Waldorf, and obtained a warrant charging as an adult with attempted armed robbery and first- and second-degree assault. Parker has not yet been located. Det. T. Miner is investigating.
