On Jan. 12 at 9:19 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to a residence in the 7600 block of Bensville Road in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed an 18-year-old woman exited a VanGO bus in front of her residence and was walking down her driveway when two male suspects exited a vehicle that had been traveling behind the bus and confronted the woman. The suspects brandished a shotgun and a handgun and demanded the woman's purse. The woman complied and both suspects returned to their vehicle and fled toward Billingsley Road.
The suspects are described as black males between 18 and 23 years old wearing bandannas around their faces. The suspect with the handgun is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. The suspect with the shotgun is 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. The vehicle is possibly an older-model, four-door Ford Crown Victoria.
