On Jan. 12 at 2:34 p.m., a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by a 16-year-old Waldorf girl was stopped behind a Charles County Public Schools bus on Middletown Road at the intersection of Marshalls Corner Road in Pomfret when the driver of the Cavalier removed her foot from the brake. The Cavalier subsequently struck the rear of the bus, which was occupied by an aid, two students and the driver, a 44-year-old Bryans Road woman. No one was injured. Cpl. S. Burrows of the Traffic Operations Unit is investigating.
