DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Sometime between 9 p.m. Jan. 5 and 7 a.m. Jan 6, suspect(s) scratched nine vehicles parked at Waldorf Chrysler Plymouth at 11755 Business Park Drive in Waldorf. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Sometime between 6 p.m. Dec. 30 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 31, suspect(s) shattered a windshield of a 1990 Jeep Cherokee parked in the 15100 block of Burnt Store Road in Hughesville and fled. ARREST: An adult and two juveniles have been arrested for vandalizing 25 cars and two houses with BB guns. On Nov. 18 at approximately 12:25 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers discovered a suspicious vehicle at the Chaney ball field on Substation Road in Waldorf. Officers spoke with four occupants of the vehicle and located a BB gun, BBs and CO2 cartridges inside the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were identified and officers sent them on their way. Later in the morning, the Sheriff's Office began receiving numerous calls from residents in Pinefield in Waldorf who said the windows had been shot out of their vehicles. Officer D. Walker responded for the investigation and found 25 cars and two houses in the neighborhood had been vandalized with BB guns. Three of the occupants of the suspicious vehicle at the ball field were determined to be involved in the incident. Timothy Allen Barnes, 19, of La Plata, a 17-year-old Hughesville boy and a 17-year-old Waldorf boy were charged Jan. 6, 7 and 8, respectively, with 26 counts of malicious destruction of property less than $500 and one count of malicious destruction of property more than $500.
