Waldorf Burger King Robbed


On Jan. 1 at 11 a.m., a suspect entered the rear door at Burger King at 1110 Smallwood Drive West in Waldorf, went to the office, confronted the assistant manager with a handgun and demanded money. The assistant manager complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a gold passenger car with Maryland tags. No one was injured. The suspect is described as a 6-foot-1-inch-tall black male weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with gray stripes on the sleeves and black sweat pants and has a full beard and mustache.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer W. Halt is investigating.
