Senior Deputy First Class (SDFC) Joseph L. Somerville, Jr. is a team player who goes the “extra mile” to assist his fellow deputy sheriffs and supervisors. Teamwork is commonly overlooked but critical to the success of his assigned squad and the mission of the Sheriff’s Office. SDFC Somerville leads his squad in Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) arrests and traffic related citations and promotes a positive and professional image. He has received several letters of appreciation, citations, and awards from citizens and organizations.
