On Dec. 28 at 9:11 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to a citizen's report of a suspicious vehicle parked behind Good Samaritan Church at 13025 Good Samaritan Drive in Waldorf. Upon arrival, officers found a 17-year-old Welcome boy in the truck. Investigation revealed he and two other boys had egged another truck at Grace Brethren Church located at 13000 Zekiah Drive.
Officers responded to the other church and located the other boys, a 16-year-old from Welcome and a 16-year-old from Charlotte Hall. The Charlotte Hall boy was found to be in possession of a concealed knife. The boys were all arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property and trespassing on private property. The Charlotte Hall boy was also charged with possessing a concealed deadly weapon. Officers found doors to both churches were unsecured.
The officers checked Grace Brethren and found a cleaning crew inside. A K9 team conducted a search of Good Samaritan and did not find any signs of a forced entry. The juveniles were released to their guardians.
