On Dec. 29 at 7:33 a.m., a Chevrolet Blazer driven Thomas Joseph Scherer, 62, of Pomfret was exiting a parking lot on Post Office Road in Waldorf when a bicycle traveling east on Post Office Road in the westbound lane crossed his path. Scherer stopped but the Blazer struck the bicyclist. The bicyclist, Calvin Lee Milstead, 38, of Waldorf, was transported to Prince George's Hospital Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Officer W. Halt investigated.
