System Planning Corporation Establishes Center for Anti-Tamper Technologies and Information Systems


System Planning Corporation (SPC) today announced that it has established a new business unit, the Center for Anti-Tamper Technologies and Information Systems (CATTIS), as part of its Air Warfare Group in Lexington Park, Maryland.

The mission of SPC's new center of excellence is to provide information assurance and anti-tamper system engineering and program support to customers at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., and Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, Ca. The center also plans to support other agencies and organizations in Virginia and the National Capital Region.

Mr. Dan McConnell, a nationally-recognized anti-tamper technologies expert has been named to lead the new business unit. The CATTIS staff includes specialists in network architecture, information assurance and aircraft avionics development drawn from SPC's Air Warfare Group.

In June 2005, NAVAIR was designated executive agent for all U.S. Navy and Marine Corps acquisition programs containing critical program information. SPC currently assists NAVAIR in formulating Department of the Navy anti-tamper policy and procedures. CATTIS business focus areas include:

* Anti-Tamper Technologies, Plans, Countermeasures, Verification & Validation
* Program Protection Plans, Threat Analysis, Measures of Effectiveness
* Information Assurance, Risk & Vulnerability Assessments
