Police Seek Suspect in AMF Bowling Robbery


On Dec. 17 at 6:37 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to AMF Bowling Center at 11920 Acton Lane in Waldorf for the report of an attempted armed robbery.

Investigation revealed the victim, a 16-year-old Waldorf boy who is an employee there, was outside the business when the suspect approached him, brandished a gun and demanded money. The boy was able to flee back inside the business and the suspect fled the scene.

Additional witnesses said the suspect was attempting to sell cologne inside the bowling alley under the company name "Matrix" and he was accompanied by three others described only as black males. The suspect is described as a black male and was wearing a black face mask and black jacket.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-2222. Officer J. Timko is investigating.
