Lusby Teen Busted for Pot

On December 10, 2005 at approximately 6:54 p.m., DFC. R. Wilson observed a silver Ford two door vehicle traveling eastbound on Calvert Beach Blvd. in St. Leonard displaying expired registration tags.

DFC. Wilson initiated a traffic stop and was assisted by Cpl. T. Phelps and Dep. V. Bortchevsky. During the stop, DFC. Wilson advised that driver that because the registration of the vehicle had expired, it would be impounded and an inventory search would be conducted. At that time the driver stated that there was marijuana in the vehicle.

The driver, Brian J. Lesperance, 19, of Lusby, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.
